Where do I collect the Campervan from?

We are located in central Scotland and offer transfer services from Glasgow and Edinburgh Airport. Please contact us if you are interested in this service.

We also offer a free collection service from our local rail stations – Greenfaulds, Cumbernauld & Croy. Please contact us at the time of booking to confirm collection availability and booking.

Can you meet us at the airport with the campervan?

Whilst we offer a collection service from Edinburgh and Glasgow Airports, we will bring you to our location in Cumbernauld to facilitate the hand over process.

What is the earliest and latest times I can collect and return our camper?

Collection of the campers is between 3pm – 4pm on your day of collection unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Campers must be returned before 10am on your day of return.

Please contact us if you would like to make other arrangements.

What happens at the hand over and how long does it take?

During the hand over process we will check your driving licence and required identification before taking a pre-authorisation of your security deposit from a debit or credit card in the driver’s name. Once we have completed the required paperwork we will give you a comprehensive overview of the camper, it’s features and how to work all the equipment.

We recommend that you allow 45 minutes to complete the hand over process when collecting your camper.

The hand over process when returning your camper will not take as long. We will complete a vehicle condition inspection and ensure that you have all your belongings with you.

I’m bringing my own bedding, what do you recommend?

Both beds within the campers are approximately ‘small double’ size. We recommend either single/double duvets or sleeping bags and pillows. Whilst there is ample storage in the campers you don’t want to fill this all with bedding therefore we recommend you don’t bring anything too bulky or large. Our motorhomes have single and double size beds. Full bedding can be booked for a small additional cost if required.

I’m hiring a campervan for the first time, what should I expect?

Hiring a campervan or motorhome can be a baffling experience if you’ve never done it before. We aim to make this as straightforward and easy as possible for you.  Once you book you will receive confirmation of your booking along with some useful information on finding campsites and island ferries. Ten days prior to your collection we will send you a reminder of where to collect your campervan along with the documents you need to bring.

When you collect your luxury campervan or motorhome we will take a short time to complete the required paperwork and ID checks then we will take you through a comprehensive overview of all the features and how your vehicle operates.

Do I need to stay in campsites?

Our campers are equipped with everything you will need to ‘wild camp’ including a leisure battery for power, water tank and diesel heating system. In Scotland campervans are not required to camp overnight in campsites, so you may park freely in rural areas as long as you are at least 100 metres from a building and are not creating a dangerous situation for yourself or any other road user. We kindly request that our customers act responsibly if wild camping and ensure they consider whether the location is suitable for a vehicle, they don’t block any access routes or leave any mess.

Whilst you are able to wild camp, we also recommend that you consider using campsites to enable the full use of their facilities.  You should remember that our campervans are not equipped with a toilet or hot shower and you will likely need to re-fill your onboard water tank during your trip.

While our motorhomes are also suitable for ‘wild camping’ we do recommend staying within a regulated campsite to make use of the power and waste facilities.

Who can drive the camper?

Drivers must be aged between 25 and 79 years of age, have held a full valid driving licence for at least 24 months and have no more than 6 penalty points imposed their your driving licence.*

Drivers must hold a valid licence from the UK, Ireland, EU, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.

We recommend that you review our terms and conditions for full details of driver requirements and restrictions and please contact us if you have any questions or require any further information.

*We can provide an insurance quote for any drivers who do not meet this criteria.

What identification do I need to bring?

All drivers must provide the following at point of collection:

  1. Driving Licence Photo Card

  2. Online DVLA Licence Check Code (UK licences only)

  3. 2 separate forms of proof of address i.e. Bank Statement or Utility Bills (Excluding Mobile Phone Bills) which must be dated within 90 days of the hire start date.

Due to our strict insurance requirements your rental may be cancelled without refund if we are unable to check or validate any of the above on collection.

Can we leave our car with you when we are away?

We offer secure parking at our collection location.  Please just bring your car with you to the collection.

Are pets allowed in the campers?

For the comfort of customers who may have pet allergies, well behaved pets are only allowed in one of our campers Harris & Tiree and one of our motorhomes (Jura).
